IGAMI STELLAR IN WIN OVER REDBIRDS TO REGAIN FIRST PLACE

PLATTSBURGH, NY –  The New York Bucks got a very good pitching performance out of Japanese pitcher Chikara Igami and bullpen shut it down to take a 4-2 win over the Plattsburgh RedBirds to regain first place after Islanders Loss to Surge.

The  Bucks took an early read after a double by Simon Palenchar in the top of the 1st inning scored Peyton Deiters.

Abel Medina led the way for the Bucks as he had a game high 3 hits while Palenchar, Ashford, Sorita and Josh Martinez all had 2 hits. The team finished with a total of 13 hits.

The RedBirds would rally in the 6th inning to score 2 runs on a couple of over throws by the Bucks and a clutch hit by RedBird second baseball Austin Baker allowed for the rally. The rally forced manager Ernesto Punales to go to the pen and bring in Kyle Richards who was lights out going for 2 innings pitched without giving up a run.

Michael Heller would close it out in the 9th getting Christian Cruz to pop up to left and the New York Bucks regain the first place in the standings after the Islanders loss to the Old Orchard Beach Surge.
